I purchased this TV stand for a 60" rear projection Mitsubishi TV. This clearly pushes the limits that this stand was designed for, but I did confirm that my TV (about 100 lbs) was less than the advertised 120lb rating.
There were a few blemishes in the finish, but none too noticeable, and certainly not enough to outweigh the excellent price. Assembly was fairly simple and took me about 45 minutes to do by myself. An extra pair of hands could have easily made it a 20-30 minute task.
After getting some assistance setting the TV on top of the stand, I felt confident that it was going to hold the weight well. The edges of the TV obviously over-hang the edges of the stand. The base of this particular TV was narrower (side to side) than the stand and slightly deeper front to back. So the part of the TV designed to hold the TV does overhang the back of the stand by about an inch. I might be concerned if it were set somewhere it could get bumped regularly. But nestled between a desk and a wall in the corner of a bedroom, it is holding up quite well. It was a bit of an exercise with flashlights and mirrors to get the cables all hooked to the TV, but the stand did nothing to impair that effort.
There's conveniently plenty of room for an XBox an XBox360 and a good number of games and controllers on the lower shelves. The center shelf is adjustable, though standard game boxes will not fit (above or below) standing straight up no matter how the shelves are adjusted. So they sit at an angle without too much trouble. All in all, at the price I paid (Thirty-Seven Prime) it was a great deal.
Too bad it's no longer available or I would buy another for the Magnepan center channel in my living room.../Furinno THE Entertainment Center - TV Stand, 11191(10017)../Pedestals..
